Brian Samolyk joined ZyMac in 2002 and brought to our firm twenty-plus years of sales and marketing experience in high technology, healthcare information and executive search.
Prior to ZyMac, Brian was a Principal with Heidrick & Struggles, where he was a member of their Information Technology, Life Science and Consumer Product Practice.
Prior to Heidrick & Struggles, he was a Vice President with Christian & Timbers, in their Boston Office. Brian contributed to the growth of their Information Technology Practice, while also a co-founding the Healthcare / Life Science Practice.
Prior to entering executive search, he held several sales, marketing and leadership roles within the enterprise software and systems integration industry.
Brian was one of the top sales managers for InterSystems Corporation, a Boston based database software company, where he was responsible for all their federal business and their largest VAR relationships. During his tenure, revenues grew from $5M to over $125M. .
He began his career as an engineer with the ARINC Company, a $500M+ Washington, DC based systems integrator that focused on the airline transportation and federal government industries. In his final role, Brian was responsible for leading their business development initiatives within their Federal Government Sector.
Prior to his business career, Brian was an Officer in the United States Army, serving in several worldwide research & development assignments for the PATRIOT Missile Program.
Brian has an MBA in Operations Research from the Florida Institute of Technology and a Bachelors Degree in Economics / Mathematics from Providence College. He was a recipient of an ROTC academic scholarship.
He has served on several advisory boards for technology and healthcare information companies. He coaches several youth athletic teams.
Brian and his wife, along with their two children live in Londonderry, New Hampshire.
